Tennis Books

I have come across many tennis books over the years.  I found Brad Gilbert’s book to be the most helpful when explaining the mental side of your tennis game.  It teaches you to some ways you could calm your nerves in certain high pressure situations.

I believe tennis is 90% mental and 10% physical.  You can have the most beautiful strokes with proper technique, but without your mind sending the right signals to move your feet and setup for the shot under pressure, the stroke will not be as effective.

A good book that sets an intro course to proper technique is Dick Gould’s book, Tennis Anyone. I have looked over the book and referred to it when teaching some shots such as volleys.
