2011 SAP Open – San Jose, CA – February 7-13, 2011

The SAP Open is managed and operated by Silicon Valley Sports & Entertainment and is one of 62 tournaments in 32 countries on 6 continents on the ATP World Tour. The ATP World Tour was launched on January 1, 1990 as the partnership of players and tournaments, replacing the former Men’s Tennis Council as the governing body for the men’s professional tennis circuit. There are 1.8 billion television viewers and 3.5 million people who annually attend ATP World Tour events. San Jose is the first American stop on the ATP World Tour.

The “Open” in SAP Open means that anyone could enter this tournament and win it. Prior to the main draw event, there is a pre-qualifying and a qualifying tournament. The pre-qualifying tournament is open to any male player of any playing level.
